Speed Racer

Throughout the last month or two, Luke has become a lot more confident on his feet. He still doesn't walk on his own but walks behind/along/against anything and everything he can. (I'm trying to "trick" him into walking on his own, but so far, he figures me out and casually sits down rather than fall for mom's trick.) One of his current favorite activities is to push Emma's old bike around the house. He prefers not to ride on it, but to grab the back and the handle bars and take off like a mad man. He literally "runs" in circles around our island in the kitchen and from the family room/kitchen through the dining room/living room and down the hall, making a large circle. We've discovered in the last few days that our hardwoods are getting pretty scratched up from it but his joy in racing around the house is well worth these scratches. He gets so excited and screams, laughs and jabbers away while pushing the bike around. Yesterday he did this for over 30 minutes at one time and was sweating by the time he was done! Needless to say, he took a GREAT nap right after that!
