Since Emma's field trip to the pumpkin patch turned out to be so wet and rainy, we decided to take advantage of the beautiful day today to make a trip to the pumpkin patch after work. I took Emma and Luke and we were there for an hour... Emma wandered around the HUGE field commenting that "just the right one" was "over there." "Over there" of course meant the furthest corner of the field- we got our exercise for the day! :) After a couple of "false alarms" that she'd found the right pumpkin, she decided she wanted to pick one out of the bin up at the produce stand rather than in the actual patch. Oh well, for $1.00 we left with a tiny little pumpkin and Emma was happy! Luke enjoyed himself and loved eating leaves, dirt, hay, and stems.
