Happy 4th of July! We spent the day up at Jeff's aunt and uncle's house with his mom, cousin, her kids and some friends. The kids had a blast!! The morning started with the kids riding their bikes in the little parade and then they played outside and Emma even went on her first innertube ride! We were surprised that she went but Hailey went with her and she thinks Hailey is the best so she went and loved it. (By the way... Hailey IS the best and is so great with the kids...we're sad that she lives in Wenatchee as we'd love to have her as a babysitter!) Luke had fun playing in the sand and paddle boat. Hailey helped them make ice cream with this cool ball you roll/throw around so they even got to have some homemade ice cream. As we were leaving, Auntie Linda gave Emma a stuffed horse that she has had for a few years and no longer "needed." Emma is thrilled (she's been wanting a real horse) and she is completely in love with her new pet. Both kids crashed out in the car on the way home (at 5:30) and when we got home, Luke went straight to bed and didn't wake up until 6:10 this morning! I'd say he was worn out!! Emma kept sleeping also but we woke her up before it got dark so she could watch fireworks at our neighborhood 4th of July party. Jeff and I got to hang out with all the neighbors at the block party without having to chase the two kids around since they were sleeping... that was nice! This is the second year in a row that both kids have fallen alseep on the way home and missed the party and I'm sure it won't happen again next year.... three years in a row of an evening of kids sleeping through the festivities/fireworks would be too unbelievable!!

Oh, it looks like so much fun! How great to be able to do such neat things as a family! That is great that you didn't have to watch the kids! I can't believe they slept so much. They must have had a TON of fun!
I wish we could have been there! Looks like it was a lot of fun.
