My post for this is at the bottom... I can't cut/paste and don't want to move all the pictures so, you get the pictures first!
Getting Ready...
Our goal is to be gone as much as possible this summer - so far, so good! We spent our last camping trip in Sunland. Sunland is located near the Gorge and if you weren't looking for it, you'd never know it was there! We left after Jeff got home from work Friday and didn't get there until 11:00. As we were driving, we were realizing we couldn't see any lights, etc. but knew we were getting close. Driving in the dark, without street lights on this road was a little crazy, at one point we felt like we were going to drive off a cliff because you couldn't see anything in front of you. The speed limit changed to 20 mph and we went down a few of these steep switchbacks (interesting in a big ol' motorhome!) and as we rounded a corner, there was this little town in the middle of nowhere. We went with a friend of Jeff's (also known as Jeff) and his friend has a couple of houses and property there so we parked our motorhome on his property. In the morning, it was beautiful!! There was a big park right on the river with a playground and swimming pool. We went fishing in Jeff's boat and the kids had a great time even though we didn't catch anything. We spent the afternoon in the pool and riding bikes, etc. It was HOT and the pool was the perfect temp!

Ooh that place sounds cool, though the drive sounds scary! Sounds like the motor home is working out, that is awesome! We leave on our first camping trip of the summer tomorrow. Yay for camping!
