A Day at the Beach!

With a teacher and her friend

Megan and Emma with Mimi Emma and Mommy

Last Friday Emma had her 3rd to last day of preschool at the beach. It poured down rain all night and all morning but luckily, it stopped raining about 30 min. before we were supposed to go and was actually semi-sunny by the time we got there. Megan didn't have school on Friday so she came with us. There were two scuba divers there who were kind enough to find some creatures under the water and bring them to the beach for us to look at. The teachers also combed the beach looking for treasures! We saw a seal, crabs, a sea slug, oysters, Starfish (big and little), sea anemones, a large Sea Star, etc. Emma didn't want to touch any of them but was fascinated by the sea star that had lost a leg and had a new one growing back and liked collecting shells in her bucket. Since "Mimi" teaches at the preschool Emma attends, she was there too!

Cool stuff! Sea creatures kind of gross me out, but how neat that the kids got to see it close up! And the rain? Seriously, it's JUNE! Augh!
