Buddies

From Day one....

I have to begin by saying, my kids are fortunate to have cousins around their age who live nearby. The best part is, they all love playing together and get along really well (with a few exceptions from time to time.) When we are all together, the kids will disappear for hours into another room and play well, without any help from us. On Thursdays, my two kids and Nate and Megan (the oldest cousins) are all babysat by my parents after school. Nate has always been exceptionally good with his younger cousins and its no exception when it comes to Luke. Luke LOVES Nate. Nate loves Luke. They have the best time playing together and Nate, even though he is years older, never ceases to play with Luke and entertain him. They make up silly games together, chase each other, etc. Luke has a habit of screaming Nate's name rather than simply saying it like he does everyone elses name, I think that's because he's always excited to see his buddy.

One day, my mom was watching Nate and Megan and Luke got to talk to him on the phone. Ever since then, he picks up the phone and says, "Nate, Nate." The other day, I let Luke call Nate, and he wasn't home so we left a message and Nate called back. Below are some pictures of Luke talking to Nate. I think these pictures capture just how much he loves his cousin!! (Thank you Nate, for being such a fantastic big cousin to Luke and Emma!!)
