In her Element -

Finally, Emma's big day arrived! (Okay, so not really her big day, it was her auntie Jana's wedding day so technically it was their big day but to Emma, it was HER day.) ;) She was able to wear the flower girl dress that has been sitting in the closet for the last month or two just waiting to be worn. She has been SO excited for the day and she did great!

Two days before the wedding, she woke up and her eyelid was red, I assumed it was the sty she gets every now and then coming back which it was, but it was infected so she started antibiotics to help clear it up. She looked a bit like she had a black eye at the wedding, but what can you do!? She had the best time and did just what she was supposed to do. She walked down the aisle and jumped into my lap and said, "I did it Mama!" I had to remind her she was supposed to go stand up front so she joined the wedding party and from what I hear, she did a nice job. I missed the entire ceremony because Luke needed to be taken out of the wedding. I would NEVER take an almost 2 year old to a wedding and last night was a perfect example of why. However, it was a family wedding, he was in a couple of pictures, etc. so what can you do? Jeff and Luke left early and Emma and I stayed so she could dance the night away. Here are some pictures of the big event!

Emma's hair looked so pretty! Did you do that??? :) Glad things went well... other than missing the ceremony... what a bummer! Had I been there, I would have taken Luke to a park for the ceremony! :)

Thanks Jen! I know you would've, hindsight, we should've had someone come and pick him up for us but it just didn't work that way. Oh well... Heck no I didn't do her hair! You know me, I can't even do my own. :) One of Jana's bridesmaids does hair so she did it for us.

She really IS a princess!! And a gorgeous one at that!!

Glad she had a wonderful time at "her ball"!! :)

I can only imagine what it might have been like with our one year old there...I'm sure it was more than Luke could handle for his 2 year old world! Bless his little heart! :)

Yes, he acted fine but was just busy, inside/outside, not wanting to sit still during the ceremony, etc. He had NO idea why everyone was just sitting there and not running around! :)

Oh man, Emma looks SO beautiful and so big! Her dress is gorgeous and her hair is awesome too! Sadie likes the flowers she has in her hair. Isn't it fun to let your daughter feel like a princess? I pray that they feel that special every day of their lives.

Bummer about Luke. That is so hard. Toddlers can be such stinkers! Oh well, it gives you another story to tell, right? ;)
