Halloween, A Little Early...

Yesterday morning, on my way to work, we drove by the pumpkin patch, as we do every day, and I realized it might be nice to go during the week, on a nice day, when we don't have to worry about rain, mud, etc. So, Jeff happened to be working from home yesterday so on my way home from work, the kids and I met him at the patch for pumpkin picking! It was warm, we were the only ones in the patch, and the pumpkins looked great! (I asked a lot of people if they thought they'd stay fresh until Halloween and we all came to the same conclusion that as long as we didn't carve them, they'd be fine.... I hope they last!)

By going on the weekend, we didn't get the hayride, but that's okay, Emma will get to do that on her field trip next week and they got to take advantage of everything else at the patch. Every year Emma says she's going to pick the biggest pumpkin and always ends up with a nice, medium size pumpkin. This year, I think she figured out the true meaning of "biggest" and definitely found one of the largest, if not the largest one in the patch!

The Search is On...

At home on the porch... hope they last!
