It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!!

I absolutely LOVE this time of year!! When asked my favorite day of the year, I always say Christmas, but I think honestly, my favorite days are the day after Thanksgiving until Christmas day. There are so many fun things to do and see!

Our weekend was crazy... I had a half day at work on Weds. so the holidays began after that. The kids and I put up the little tree in the bonus room that evening and boy, were they excited! Thanksgiving morning, I was bored so I decided to decorate for Christmas...then we went to Jeff's parents around 11:30 and stayed all day. The day after Thanksgiving was my birthday and we pretty much hung out at home, relaxing until Emma and I decided to head to Target and Fred Meyer just for fun. We got front row parking spots and there were no lines... the downfall, nothing we bought was on sale. We were going to go downtown Seattle for dinner and the tree lighting but it was cold and wet and rainy so we decided not to. Instead, Jeff and I went to dinner and shopping while the kids played at my parents.

Saturday we met up with my family to do our annual Santa picture (of all the grandkids for Mimi and Pa) and then dinner at Red Robin, it's our annual tradition. This year, Luke definitely didn't want anything to with Santa. He was fine in the group picture because he sat on Nate's lap but once it was just he and Emma, he pouted, started to cry, and would have nothing to do with him. I told them to take the picture anyway so we'll see what this one looks like! This is coming from the person who cried in Santa pictures for 5 years, therefore, I don't mind if he cries! :)

Dancing in the Mall

Sunday, we went and got our tree, put up our lights outside, etc. It was a great end to a fun filled holiday weekend! Can't wait for the next few weeks...

What a fun-filled weekend! I have to agree about this being a great time of year (as I am sitting in front of a twinkling tree listening to one of my favorite Christmas CDs!) Looks like your weekend was a success! :) j.

Ah, I love this time of year too! Looks like you are all having lots of fun. I am not sure if we are going to even attempt a visit to Santa, since I am sure Drew will freak out like Luke did. We shall see!

How fun!
I know Kyle will scream when we go see Santa. Oh Well. It is fun to look back at those photos!
Your blog looks cute and festive! how did you do that?

Kinda funny... Luke didn't really cry, but he definitely pouted and whined like he was going to cry. He was all smiles last year so I knew it was bound to happen at some point. :) Elissa, go see Santa even if he does cry... it's always a good pic. anyway, and it makes for more of a story when he gets older!!
