Snow Days

We have a lot of snow around here! Emma and I measured last night and we were up to 5 inches. I can't even remember the last time we had 2 late start days followed by 2 no school days.... those of you who know me well enough know that I never actually want to go to work. However, with two weeks of vacation coming up, I hate the thought of making these 2 snow days up at the end of the year. Oh well...as of right now I'm on vacation until Jan. 6th so all we can do is try to make the most of it and get out there and enjoy the snow! They are even predicting a white Christmas, how exciting!!!

First venture out on Sunday

Both kids have loved the snow this year... Luke would stay out all day if we let him and he definitely gets upset when we bring him in. We have been building snowmen, having snowball fights and sledding. Emma enjoys sledding as long as she's not on the sled by herself. Luke went down the hill a couple of times yesterday and seemed to enjoy himself. He certainly loves playing with all the neighbors sleds, snowboards, etc.

Their 1st sledding adventures

Now that Jeff's commute is so long, he's been working from home these last 2 days. One of the challenges of these snow days has been keeping the kids busy and occupied so we don't all go crazy being "trapped" at home day after day! Right now, they are having a blast doing some crafts which I'm sure will be followed by a trip outside to play. Hope you are all enjoy the snow, if you have it... stay warm and dry! :)
